Teaquilts
What's New: New items are written in red like this, "NEW". Check the following pages for new quilts or updated photos in the past three months:
After a very long time (2.5 years to be exact), I'm finally able to access my website and make updates. This will be a slow process to make this site current again. So far, I have updated WIPs pages. Please visit them so see what projects I'm currently work in. WIPs More WIPs
I now have a blog at http://teaquilts.blogspot.com/ . Please stop by and see what I'm doing. I have a few tutorials uploaded. Off the top of my head, there are various ways to make half square triangles, tumbler quilt cut using GO! cutter, strip tease jelly roll quilt, and tube sewing. Click on the tutorial tab when you enter the site.
Sorry, but the Confetti quilt pattern is no longer available for free. I performed two lectures in May 2007 and decided to sell the pattern. My friends have been strongly encouraging me to write a book, and this is my start. The pattern is included in my booklet "How I Attacked My Scrap Bin" along with 3 other patterns and sales for $16.00). Handling and postage cost of $3 will also be added for 1st class mail.

My current quilt interests are: Machine Embroidery Items - My new love as of October 2007 is machine embroidery. That topic lead into one giant challenge of how to machine embroidery, what to embroider on (types of fabrics and stabilizers) as well as when to quilt and how to quilt. I'm having so much fun! Click the "Machine Embroidered Items" in the header to see my latest projects.
Scrap quilts - I have been frantically cutting my scraps into various size squares and use them to make scrap quilts. Yes, scraps still live in my home; they seem to be multiplying.
Accuquilt Go! Cutter - My new best friend. I purchased it the first year it was manufactured and kind of let it sit in my storage area. I started to regret the purchase but then realized the reason I didn't use it was because I didn't have the dies I wanted to work with. Needless to say, I invested more money in dies but this time I was successful. I use the die cutter much more efficiently now and have it readily available to cut my pieces, even if just for one block.
Blocks - I'm such a technique junkie. I love trying new ideas, that's why I have over 230 UFOs. On my blog I am coordinating a year long project to make all the blocks in Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks Vol. 2. I have about 7 other quilters participating. It's amazing how everyone's blocks looks so different. Stop by the blog to check them out.
Hand appliqué - Took a class in January 2002 and have been addicted every since.
My other interests: Other than quilting, I like quilting (smile.) I love to roller skate and I bowled for many years in a bowling leagues with my husband. I bowled a 300 (perfect score) game August 2001. Wow, I was beside myself. I'm now a retired bowler. I also love to line dance, read, and spend time with friends and family. |
